Let the darkness bring us closer! (Evolve your relationships with Tantra and Soul Mate Connections)

It’s the Winter Solstice, the darkest day of the year.

While the entire day is typically considered solstice, scientists can actually measure the precise moment it occurs. This is the moment when the sun is directly over the line marking the Tropic of Capricorn — which happened today, Wednesday, 21st December 2016 at 10.44am in the UK, daylight lasting just seven hours, 49 minutes and 41 seconds.

Ancient civilisations in the UK and abroad have marked the solstices as significant events throughout history. It’s considered the most important day of the year, as it welcomes in the new sun.

This was news for the Independent, but there’s more…

According to Nicolya Christi,”for the past thirty-six years, humanity has been moving through the eye of the needle of a rare cosmic phenomenon which occurs only once every 26,000 years and is known as ‘The Galactic Alignment Zone’. This began in 1975 and concludes in 2021″ — exactly on the Solstice, as it happens.

We are emerging “from the eye of a thirty-six year evolutionary cycle and slowly but surely begin to witness the early indications of the emergence of a new conscious paradigm.”  [read more]

I take all this to mean one thing: the worst is over.

Once we’re past the darkest hour, things can only get brighter.

We’ve all suffered losses, disconnection and strife.

My message to you on this Winter Solstice is to take heart and look to the future with hope.

In my work, I see the difficulties especially in the way we connect and relate.

I’ve witnessed many crises, and have had to face my own: no-one is immune to the pain of separation humanity has been suffering for thousands of years.

You’ll find hard-won insights on “5 Communication Killers and How to Save Your Relationship” in this piece.

Definitely worth a read, if you’ve been coming up against the wall with your loved ones, and helpful for all kinds of partnerhips.

In addition, in a recent podcast with Steve Nobel of Soul Matrix and Conscious Media, I spoke about “Relationship, Sexuality and Spirituality”.

You’ll hear about the kinds of challenges that shaped me and my work, the kinds of challenges we ALL face when it comes to intimacy and relationship, and how relationship models are evolving.

We are called to redefine ourselves, as men and women, spiritual beings having a human experience, and create conscious, sacred partnerships.

Practising sacred sexuality and cultivating soul-centered relationships often flies in the face of convention.

The good news is that there’s now more support than ever for those who wish to take the next step in their personal (and relational) evolution — I explain more about Soul Mate relationships, Tantra, energetics and the evolution of relationship models in the interview, available to listen here and on SoundCloud.

What’s your feeling? Anyone you’d like to be closer with? Time for some new connections?

As always, I’d love to hear from you.

Please drop me a line, if you feel like sharing, or would like some support building successful relationships.

As new light shines through, may you find more love, joy and unbridled creativity!

Love and blessings,

P.S. There’s serious planning going on at the mo… More Soul Mate Connections, Women’s Circle, Cacao Ceremonies and Shamanic Dream Work coming your way (and a few other things too!). Look out for announcements in the coming days.
P.P.S. I’d like to leave you with this special “Blessing for the Longest Night”. As I was saying, take heart: the best is yet to come.

Blessing for the Longest Night

All throughout these months
as the shadows
have lengthened,
this blessing has been
gathering itself,
making ready,
preparing for
this night.

It has practiced
walking in the dark,
traveling with
its eyes closed,
feeling its way
by memory
by touch
by the pull of the moon
even as it wanes.

So believe me
when I tell you
this blessing will
reach you
even if you
have not light enough
to read it;
it will find you
even though you cannot
see it coming.

You will know
the moment of its
by your release
of the breath
you have held
so long;
a loosening
of the clenching
in your hands,
of the clutch
around your heart;
a thinning
of the darkness
that had drawn itself
around you.

This blessing
does not mean
to take the night away
but it knows
its hidden roads,
knows the resting spots
along the path,
knows what it means
to travel
in the company
of a friend.

So when
this blessing comes,
take its hand.
Get up.
Set out on the road
you cannot see.
This is the night
when you can trust
that any direction
you go,
you will be walking
toward the dawn.
