The times are changing…
The New Feminine Emergence sees Woman leading the way.
I don’t just mean the kind of woman who occupies prominent positions of power and influence.
I’m talking about YOU.
The woman who strives to develop herself, find balance and flourish.
The woman who embraces her deep feeling and emotion, and reclaims her trust in her feminine wisdom and sensitivity.
The woman who grows her heart bigger. And bigger. And bigger still.
By diligently following your heart, you are a pioneer of more loving, compassionate, integrated ways of being in the world — which is exactly what our world needs!
I’ll echo Marie Forleo and her belief that “everyday folks like you and me are so much more powerful than we give ourselves credit for.”
This is an international humanitarian initiative that began with the heartfelt desire to care for Syrian refugees in Europe and homeless youth in the States, as a Mother would.
The Compassion Collective determined to reclaim Mother’s Day!
“Mother’s Day was not created by Hallmark, but by a revolutionary warrior for peace. Julia Ward Howe — abolitionist, activist and poet — was the founder of the original Mother’s Day Proclamation in 1870. Tired of war, tired of tribalism being valued above the lives of the vulnerable, her pain became her mission. She called out for revolution and she called this revolution: Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day IS about Love. But it’s not about commercial, comfortable love that snuggles up and stays home—it’s about love that throws open the door and marches out of our homes, beyond our fences and neighborhoods and into the hurting world to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, comfort the hurting, mother the motherless.”
How’s that for a manifesto?
Atypically for charity organisations, The Compassion Collective have set a maximum limit of $25 for donations and spend zero of donations for overheads — an important shift in paradigm.
It’s immensely heartening to see ethical changes on a grand scale, but let’s not forget: they’re also happening on a personal level.
I’ll draw from Marie Forleo’s wealth of materials once more, and share with you this interview with Glennon Doyle Melton, mother, author and social activist, on Woman as Love Warrior.
In this interview, you’ll hear how emotional pain and hitting rock bottom can serve as the springboard for self-discovery and a way of living that is much more loving and authentic.
Having suffered an eating disorder, addictions, issues with sexuality, body image, marital infidelity, and undermining societal and religious influences, Glennon managed to redefine herself as a Woman, when she understood the role of the feminine as the Love Warrior.
One of the best parts of the interview is her explanation of “sistering” and how we may approach life, with its intense emotions and hardships, with more care and presence.
In sharing these examples with you, I hope to inspire even more love and compassion in action.
I also want to remind you, how important YOU are.
You are the woman who’s facing pressures and emotional pain.
You are the woman called to redefine your role at work, at home, in your community.
You are the woman at the cutting edge of a collective paradigm shift.
Every personal breakthrough, every new way in which you express your truth and embody the love that you are makes an enormous difference.
In joyful moments, but especially when the going gets tough, please remember to love and appreciate yourself.
You are the Love Warrior.
And your sisters are right here beside you!
- What challenges are you facing at this time?
- Have you made a big breakthrough you’d like to share, or need help in any way?
- Are you part of a community or initiative that the world ought to know about? Would you like to be?
I’d love to hear from you; please write and share!
And keep spreading the love…
P.S. You’re warmly invited to join the Women’s Circle “Being Woman: Yin, Yoni and Beyond”, the place where Women like YOU meet. NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, 26th October, 7pm ~ special theme of DREAMS and LOVE.
We meet approximately every month in central London to share and journey together. Each meeting has a special theme and offers new opportunities for learning, growth and connection. Our most recent adventure was our Summer Retreat in Spain. Deeply transformative and heart-opening, not least thanks to an extraordinary Cacao Ceremony, as you’ll hear in the testimonial below.
See yourself here? Drop me a line to share your story and join the community.
P.P.S. In case you’re wondering, those impressive blooms were the sacred San Pedro Cactus, guardian of Hidden Paradise Retreat Centre, flowering for the first time in 15 years the very day we arrived! If that’s not enough sacredness and magic for you, perhaps this story will do it for you. Let me know!
